Update – Getting Ready for the Savannah Speed Classic

Three weekends left to get ready.  We still have a few things to do, like installing the gearbox, bleeding the brakes, fixing the the intake box, checking alignment etc.

Things were progressing well, but we pulled the gearbox and checked the clutch.  The clutch was fine, but, as we were positioning the gearbox for re-installation, Alex spotted a crack on the clutch release lever.  I don’t think it would have lasted another race weekend.  A replacement is on the way.  Obviously the load from a competition clutch exceeds the design capability of the stock fork.  We’ll have to run four or five races with this setup, and hope it will hold, before there’s time for making modifications.
